Our annual meeting on March 8th was a great success! Several of our new members got a chance to introduce themselves to the board and to each other, and we elected Teemu Ropponen as a new board member — congratulations! We also heard inspiring stories from our new members about why they joined Green Sisu, and what sorts of hopes and ideas they have for the association.

European Parliament elections will be held in only a few months, but before then, there is an important deadline for European citizens living in Finland: European citizens need to register as a voter in Finland by 16:00 on the 21st of March, 2024 to be allowed to vote in the Finnish European Parliament elections.

In recent years, I have often wondered about my responsibility towards my child. How would I make the best use of my unique life so I can leave her a legacy of something beautiful, lasting? So far, his legacy includes the rise of the far right, men’s conscription and the ecological triple crisis – climate change, biodiversity loss and the sixth wave of extinctions. The symbol of all this is a continent of plastic debris floating in the Pacific vortex. I would rather leave a legacy of art.
